When our good friends, Kitt and Megan, asked my husband and me to be Godparents to their 3rd baby we were beyond excited and incredibly honored. When she was born our love for her grew to enormous proportions. When the time came for her Baptism, I was again honored to create her cake. I wanted something feminine (since she's the little sister to two big brothers), but not a classic religious cake. After some research on the internet I came up with idea to make a cross, by not making a cross at all. Sweet and simple.
Hi, I'd like to start off by saying that this cake is magnificent! I am I beginner cake decorator but the few cakes I made I I the past turned out surprisingly great and people still talk about the today! Crazy. Anyway, (enough bragging) I too have been honored as both Godmother and creator of cake. I saw this design and immediately decided this is it! It's perfect.
ReplyDeleteI have a few questions if you would be so kind as to answer them. I'm getting a really late start on this to even practice but I have been in the hospital for the past almost 2months and thankfully I am home for school bringing for my 2 little ones.
I wanted to know if you could tell me that name/brand and/or model number of the flower cutter you used to make those perfect flowers.....?
Oops...ran out of space.
ReplyDeleteAlso, what did you use for the icing? I can see that it's not fondant and by popular taste, I have decided to not use fondant as well.
And I guess I you possibly are Ellington generous enough to throw some tips my way?
Thank you ever so much in advance!!!
