Sixth Birthday

My daughter is often times mature beyond her years.  When she was turning 6 and I asked what kind of cake and theme she wanted for her birthday she thought back to her birthday the previous year and remembered the beautiful cherry blossoms that were in bloom on the trees in front of our house.  She asked if I thought they would bloom on her birthday again and said she wanted a cherry blossom cake.  Sometimes I just want to hug her forever for her grace, beauty and simplicity.

This is hands down the most simple and easy cake I have every decorated, and it is by far my favorite.  And I'm pretty sure it's my daughter's favorite too.
