Birthday number 3 came with a love of cupcakes and flowers. I found that Wilton had a cupcake shaped cake pan, so I bought it. It was pretty simple - bake cake, frost, add flowers made of fondant as if they were decorations on the giant cupcake. Well, that was too simple, so I made cupcake bees and butterflies to go with it. I figured they went well with flowers...but I didn't realize how long it takes to decorate cupcakes with this much detail. Good thing they're cute - the cupcakes and my daughter - makes it all worth it in the end.
